Couple of things…

150k on my feet for the month of April, that now makes 10 months in a row of at least 150k of walking/running.  I run a challenge on Facebook and for the purpose of that challenge bike kilometers aren’t counted, but I expect them to be quite high as well soon.

I had a GREAT run today, 5k in a little over 30, which is a good time for me, better, I got 10k in 1 hr 8 minutes, that is spectacular for me…. Here’s my all impressed face…

On top of that, was 205.8 lbs on the scale this morning, should be under 200 soon…

Amazing…

I haven’t much else to blog about lol…. life is cruising along, weather is great, work is great, all is quite well.

Boring, but not a bad thing!

Running my first 5k race next week as you who have been reading me for a while will know…

a plea…

Have my first 5k EVER booked, and what’s better, it’s to raise money for a very important cause, one I am very familiar with. Guys I am running the 5k portion of the 4th Annual Kim Stuckey Memorial to raise funds and awareness for Arthritis. Some of you may know, my wonderful wife suffers from arthritis, and for her, I would run the world, 5k should be a snap. I will be posting links to a page where you can help by sponsoring my run, please friends, help show your support of my transformation, and help a good cause at the same time…. and oh, holy crap, the former fat man is RUNNING!!

Click here for a link to my fundraising page….  anything you could help out with would be amazing!

Couple of pictures

Not a lot of time for a long post this morning…

The road trip weight is gone, back to where I was before I left, all good….

Had a GREAT run last night and a nice walk this morning, here’s a couple of view from the top of the trail.  It’s my hometown, looks almost too nice.

pana1pana2My 5k is next Sunday, just over a week away… psyched….

SO in that vein, care to help??

a plea…

Road Trip Armageddon

Back from my training…

Brought 4 lbs back with me lol…

Meh, wasn’t that bad 😉

That’s 4 lbs up tonight, at the end of the day, as opposed to the early morning weight I am basing it against, we’ll see where we REALLY are in the morning.

The training I took part in, the first part of 6 sessions spanning a year, was very good.  It was about mentoring, and individual development and improvement.  What was VERY nice for me was the way it paralleled the weight loss/fitness journey I am on.  About identifying needs, formulating plans, adjusting as needed and reviewing often,  Very cool stuff!

It was also nice in that my family got to visit me while I was in there…  here’s a couple of good pics of my boys…

On the road again

Out of town on training once again, as mentioned last post…

Met up with my friend Mike Barrington, whom I have spoken about here in the past, he is my friend who was in the Biggest Loser with me and has recently started a blog chronicling his trials and tribulations with weight loss…

Check out his blog here….

Here we are at the end of our walk…

Holy cow, a week….

Been a week since I have posted, sorry about that!

Been a hectic one, we said good bye to one manager at work and said hello to another.  It resulted in a flurry of activity getting the shop ready for the transfer.

Then, tragedy, an employee of mine, lost his daughter, she was just 18 months old.  Still not clear on what happened, they put her to bed Monday night, when they tried to wake her Tuesday morning, she was gone…

Been a rough thing to get past….

The funeral was today, hard, hardest thing ever….

On to other things…

Training continues, working on pacing etc.  Have a 30ish minute 5k locked now.  Here’s the splits on this mornings run…

Trying to keep it well under 7 a klick, getting there.

Still amazing to me that I am running at all lol…

That’s about it for now, think I’ll be back later with a little more!
